Introducing OPB's new Volunteer Coordinator!

Welcome Joy Hawkins!

Please join me in welcoming our new volunteer coordinator, Joy Hawkins!

A Florida native, Joy moved to Oregon in 2008 after volunteering at a youth music camp in Sisters. She quickly fell in love with both volunteering and the Pacific Northwest. Joy attended graduate school at Oregon State University before backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail with her husband, Matt. Prior to joining OPB, Joy was the Program Director at SOLVE where she coordinated hundreds of volunteer litter cleanup and environmental restoration projects across Oregon. Joy recently moved to Sandy with her husband, one-year old daughter, Emmy, and dog, Saura. When she is not coordinating volunteers, she enjoys spending time at the coast, road biking, and hiking with her family. Joy is excited to be a part of the OPB team!

Welcome to OPB, Joy! We’re so excited to have you on the team.
